Michelle Chawla’s latest letter extends an invitation the arts community to share their input on the Canada Council’s next strategic plan. Over the coming weeks, four live online engagement sessions—two in English and two in French— will be offered, along with a questionnaire for those unable to attend a session. Your input will help us focus and prioritize our efforts.

Over the coming weeks, we will offer opportunities for you to share your input on our next strategic plan. These interactive online sessions will help us focus and prioritize our efforts.
We will offer four live online sessions, two in English and two in French. These live sessions are designed to gather input from as many people as possible. You will be invited to answer both open-ended and closed questions during the session using an interactive digital tool. You can choose the date and time that works best for you:
- English Session 1: February 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (EST)
- English Session 2: March 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (EST)
- French Session 1: February 27, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST)
- French Session 2: March 4, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST)

If you’re unable to attend a session, you can still share your thoughts by completing a questionnaire. The questionnaire will gather similar feedback to what we gather from our live online sessions, so if you can attend a session, you do not need to complete the questionnaire.
